Permanent data storage

Corlan is like Bitcoin, but for data: a permanent, decentralized web living inside an open ledger. You pay once at upload, and the network keeps that data online, verifiable and replicated, without subscriptions, renewals, or a company that can switch it off.

That changes what data is good for. Archives stop depending on the health of the institutions that hold them. Apps stop depending on the survival of the startup that shipped them. A page published on Corlan stays published, by protocol rule rather than by promise.

The ledger is deep. Pick a door below and walk in.

The protocol is stable and runs in production today. Its ecosystem is fully decentralized, so this site is only a map: it points you to the places where you can learn about Corlan, put it to use, and build on top of it.

Payment
Once, at upload. Sized to cover centuries of storage.
Retrieval
Open. Anyone can fetch what the network holds.
Control
No operator can delist, throttle, or rewrite your data.

01

Info.

Most of the web is rented. Files live on servers owned by companies that bill monthly, change terms, and eventually shut down. When the bill stops, the data goes with it, and every link that pointed at it rots.

Corlan works the other way. A single up-front payment funds an endowment that pays nodes to store your data for centuries. The economics are enforced by the protocol, not by a terms-of-service page, so permanence is a property of the network rather than a marketing line.

On top of storage sits an open, permanent web: pages, apps and publications that behave like blockchains do. Neutral, transparent, and impossible to quietly rewrite after the fact.

Storage model
Pay once at upload. No renewals, no accounts to keep alive.
Consensus
Proof of access: miners prove they still hold the data they claim.
Reading
Open gateways. Anyone can fetch anything, no permission needed.
Failure mode
If one operator disappears, replicas and incentives carry on.

Use Corlan.

People use Corlan for things that cannot afford to vanish: research datasets, legal records, family archives, journalism, and the frontends of applications that were promised to outlive their companies. Take your first steps below.

Publication, media and knowledge built on Corlan.

03

Build on Corlan.

The stack covers the whole application: host your UI, store your state, and expose open queries, all without provisioning a server. What you ship keeps the properties of the ledger underneath it. Permanent, provably neutral, transparent.

Get funded.

Corlan is a fully decentralized ecosystem, and its development is backed the same way: by a spread of independent organizations rather than one company. Non-profits, community treasuries and venture studios all fund work that strengthens the network, and several keep open grant and investment programs for new contributors.
